Louie Anderson Northrop

Louie Anderson has a cult like following in Minnesota (since he is FROM here) so it is no wonder he puts on a show in the Twin Cities every year. I always thought his Minnesota show was actually on New Years Eve, but this year he is performing at the Northrop Auditorium on Saturday December 27th. He is putting on two shows – a 6pm and a 9pm show including meet and greet options. 92KQRS is promoting the Louie Anderson show so it is getting plenty of media and there aren’t many tickets left. I think the only other place to see Louie Anderson is in Las Vegas these days (which actually doesn’t sound too bad right now).

Anyway, Louie Anderson is a funny guy and he has great Midwest material that will put you a good mood for the New Year. It’s a holiday show worth going out in the snow and cold for!

The Killers Northrop Auditorium

One of my favorite bands, The Killers, are coming to the Northrop Auditorium on January 19th – WooHoo! I read somewhere that it was sold out, but I don’t think so and now I can’t find where I read that. Maybe I am losing my mind.

Anyway, The Killers new album, Day & Age is better than their last album (maybe their best yet) and I am excited that they are stopping by Minneapolis to promote it. Plus, the Northrop is the perfect spot – The Killers have a huge college kid fan base and they chose a date after winter break to insure the students are around. In fact, classes for Spring Semester start on Tuesday January 20th - you can bet there will be some tired kids at classes that day. Good thing the first day is just reviewing syllabi. LOL!

There are still great Killers Tickets available from local ticket brokers like Ticket King if you want to score seats up front. If you don’t have the funds, you could always ask for them as a gift!

John Legend is a hot ticket!

In the light of Bob Dylan tickets flying out the door, the Northrop announced another huge show for the month of November: John Legend on Wednesday, November 19th.

Previously a management consultant and then a studio musician, John Legend's 2004 breakthrough album, "Get Lifted" catapulted him to his own success and notoriety. Currently on tour for his new album, "Evolver." Reviews of the album have commented on Legend's stray from love songs to politically charged lyrics on this album.

Northrop Auditorium tickets for this show will sell quickly, John Legend has a very dedicated fan base! The concert is less than one month away so if you want to check out the show you may want to get your Northrop Auditorium tickets for this show sooner than later!

Bob Dylan Tickets

Last week I wrote about Bob Dylan selling out the Northrop Auditorium so I thought I would do some checking around on the Internet for ways to get Bob Dylan tickets if you want to see the Minnesota music legend himself.

Local ticket broker Ticket King has tickets priced from $220 to $1,000 – I see the price is not always a good indication about seat location, though, so buyer beware. I know Ticket King often pays above face value to get tickets and then sells them at even higher price for profit. My guess is that they bought some tickets cheaper than others and that is what sets the price. For example Main Floor Section 4, Row 28 and row 12 are the same price! Obviously, I would rather sit in row 12. I wonder if prices will come down at all – I wouldn’t mind seeing Bob Dylan, it could be the last time – he is 67.

When I have more time, I promise to look around a bit more for tickets. I am sure craigslist has some, too.

Bob Dylan Sold OUt Show at the Northrop!

If you were planning on catching Bob Dylan at the Northrop Auditorium On Tuesday, November 4th, you may want to make other plans. Northrop Auditorium tickets for this event are completely sold out. This comes as no suprise, right? Bob Dylan playing in Minnesota at a small venue? According to the Northrop Auditorium's website through the University of Minnesota, the capacity of the venue is 4,800. That is more that I was expecting considering the building capacity of the Orphuem Theater in downtown Minneapolis is 2,600. That is almost double!

Bob Dylan tickets for this event went very fast, not only due to the demand but also because there were several presales before the event went on sale the first Friday in October.

The demand is high and the supply is low. So if you stumble across some Bob Dylan tickets grab them whie you can! Next to AC/DC they are the hottest tickets in town!

Robin Williams Show Announced!

After Robin Williams’ 3 show stint at the Acme Comedy Club a few months ago, his fans have been waiting patiently for his return. The tickets for the Acme Comedy Club show were sold out before they went on sale. It was the type of ticket where you needed to know someone to get into the show! Robin Williams is playing September 25th at the Northrop Auditorium on the University of Minnesota campus.

Northrop Autitorium tickets for this event will sell almost as fast as the Acme Coy, but his stand up acts are notorious for being comedy club shows did. There is a lot of demand for Robin Williams tickets, not only is he a nationally known celebrity but was known for his stand up long before he was in movies.

In addition to this Northrop Auditorium ticket being a hot commodity, Minneapolis is also the kick off of his stand up tour, which adds even more demand to Robin Williams tickets.
