Northrop Auditorium Renovation Update: 6/21/11

The Northrop Auditorium, which closed in February, is currently undergoing reconstruction. The sad news is that it won't be ready until the Fall of 2013! What are we going to do without it?? The good news is that this 82 year old facility was in desperate need of a renovation and we should be able to reap the benefits of the new facility once it's finished. Shows that are normally scheduled for the Northrop Auditorium will be moved to the Orpheum and Varsity theatres. The renovation is going to cost an estimated 80 million dollars.

Update on the renovation: everything is going smoothly and the expected due date for the new theatre has not changed.

This place better be so awesome by the time it's done, or I am going to be so mad that we just wasted 80 million dollars.
